Maryland SHA Topsoil Suppliers Eligible List

Maryland State Highway Administration, Office of Materials Technology

The Office of Materials Technology maintains a listing of qualified topsoil producers approved to supply to Maryland State Highway Administration construction projects. Facilities on the list have demonstrated the ability to produce and supply topsoil in conformance with the specification requirements by being tested at one of the following recognized testing laboratories

Qualification does not imply that material from these facilities can be used on SHA projects without the normal Quality Control / Quality Assurance testing and acceptance procedures. Sources with results within the specifications are deemed eligible for six months from the date of the signed test report.

The list is intended to provide prime contractors sources of topsoil which have been previously evaluated and approved as a means of expediting the source approval process. Sources are listed in no particular order and the order should NOT be construed as a rating of those facilities.
