Welcome to Maryland’s Emergency Truck Parking Portal

During 6+ inch snow storms, tractor trailer drivers may use several commuter park and ride lots for safe haven to ride out the storm instead of parking on ramps and roadsides. This initiative provides an alternative for truckers traveling during heavy storms. Green tabs show Regular Truck Parking and the blue tabs show the Emergency Truck Parking at park and rides lots for potential parking during storms.

Using the dropdown list on the left, you will find a list of SHA's park and ride facilities.

From your iPhone (iOS 5+ ONLY):
Go to http://roads.maryland.gov on your browser
Select Emergency Parking Map from the menu
Click the “Action” button at the bottom center of your phone. Click "Add to Home Screen."
Change the name to SHA
Tap “Add;” you will see a SHA Truck icon on your home screen that points directly to SHA's Mobile Mapping Application Homepage
 
From your Blackberry (OS version 6+):
Go to http://roads.maryland.gov on your browser
Select Emergency Parking Map from the menu
Press the blackberry   button
Tap "Add to Home Screen"
Change the name to SHA
Tap “Add;” you will see a SHA Truck icon on your home screen that points directly to SHA's Mobile Mapping Application Homepage
 
From your Android (OS version 2.2+):
Step 1:
Go to http://roads.maryland.gov on your browser
Select Emergency Parking Map from the menu
While viewing the webpage, press MENU (button on the device)
Tap “Add bookmark.”
Edit the bookmark name to SHA
Tap “Add” to create a bookmark
Step 2:
Press MENU(button on the device) then Bookmarks to retrieve list of saved Bookmarks
Scroll to SHA Bookmark, Tap and hold retrieve menu
Select “Add Shortcut to Home”
You will see a SHA Truck icon on your home screen that points directly to SHA's Mobile Mapping Application Homepage
Step 1 note: In some Android versions, you will find the Bookmark button after you select the “More” option after pressing 'MENU'.
Step 2 note: In some Android versions, you will find the Bookmarks button next to the browser address bar.

From your Mobile Web browser (iPad iOS 3+):
Simply type http://roads.maryland.gov into the web browser on your Internet-enabled mobile device.
Select Emergency Parking Map from the menu
