Major Highway Projects across Maryland noted in e-Road Ready Brochure

The annual e-Road Ready construction brochure is available to help motorists navigate hundreds of work zones in Maryland this summer. "In addition to other information sources such as MD 511, e-Road Ready is a useful tool to safely guide motorists around construction zones and reduce time sitting in traffic,” says SHA Administrator Melinda B. Peters.

Expect I-695 Lane Reduction in Essex For Slope Repairs

A traffic shift begins on June 23rd along northbound I-695. Through traffic approaching MD 702 will be shifted to the right with two lanes still available prior to the I-695/MD 702 split. The far left lane will be closed, just after the split, to allow crews to safely repair and re-establish a slope. To avoid delays during peak travel times, motorists should consider other routes before approaching the area including I-695 to Exit 38 (MD 150).

SHA and Ocean City Officials Launch Walk Smart Safety Campaign

A partnership between the Town of Ocean City, Ocean City Police Department, Maryland State Highway Administration and other local businesses and agencies created the Walk Smart! campaign to turn the tide on the recent wave of pedestrian crashes - complementing engineering and enforcement efforts to keep Ocean City residents and visitors safe this summer.
