Pursuant to federal regulation 49 C.F.R. Part 26, the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) is seeking comments on the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program and overall DBE goal for the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA). In establishing the overall DBE goal, the federal regulations require that MDOT consult with minority, women’s and general contractor groups, community organizations, and other officials or organizations which could be expected to have information concerning the availability of disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged businesses, the effects of discrimination on opportunities for DBEs, and efforts to establish a level playing field for the participation of DBEs.
To comply with this requirement, we are seeking stakeholder input through surveys and public meetings.
The online surveys must be completed by June 18, 2018, and can be found by following this web link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/W6ZPJXX
