The MdMUTCD is the combined document of the national set of traffic control device standards and guidance promulgated by Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) rulemaking on December 16, 2009 and Maryland Supplement to the MUTCD. The BLUE text identifies modifications or additions to the Federal MUTCD. The text is identified throughout the MdMUTCD as Standard, Guidance, Option or Support based on the application.
