State Highway Administration gears up for winter weather in Maryland.


SHA showed off its snow fighting equipment at the Statewide Operations Center in Hanover and at the Fairland Maintenance Facility in Montgomery County.

The Maryland Department of Transportation’s (MDOT) State Highway Administration (SHA) will be transitioning from paper/hardcopy bidding to electronic bidding. Projects advertised after July 1, 2017, will require electronic bid submittal via internet.

2016 E-Road Ready Brochure Lists Major Highway Projects


The bi-annual e-Road Ready construction brochure is available to help motorists navigate hundreds of work zones in Maryland this summer. In addition to other information sources such as MD 511, e-Road Ready is a useful tool to safely guide motorists around construction zones and reduce time sitting in traffic.
