The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA), in cooperation with Maryland Transportation Builders and Materials Association (MTBMA), offers training for the SHA Erosion and Sediment Control (E&SC) Certification Program. This training is recommended for contractors, project managers, supervisors, inspectors, and personnel responsible for E&S Control.
The E&SC certification (Yellow Card) is required for Contractor Superintendents and Erosion and Sediment Control Managers who work on SHA Projects.
SHA offers a one-day E&SC recertification (Yellow Card) class through MTBMA; however, beginning October 1, 2011, SHA will significantly reduce the number of these classroom training opportunities.
Beginning September 2011 an online SHA E&SC Re-certification (Yellow Card) training will be available as the primary training tool.
