The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) is continuously striving to improve safety and mobility in work zones. We do this by developing policies, standards and guidelines; providing technical guidance, training, best practices and advice; and interpreting federal and State regulations related to work zone safety and mobility.
MDOT SHA reminds drivers that work zone safety is everyone’s business. This safety campaign issues a plea to stay alert and use caution when driving through or near work zones.
