The Equipment Division is responsible for the research, analysis, management and procurement of all vehicles and equipment utilized by the SHA. This includes oversight of design standards, purchasing, and management of vehicle and equipment assets, maintenance of information, tracking databases, and administration of statewide vehicle and equipment programs required by agencies with appointing authority over SHA. The Division coordinates with SHA Offices and Districts on equipment related matters to ensure that appropriate equipment is procured when warranted. During emergencies the Division supports the EOC managing emergency contractual equipment procurements. The Equipment Division is managed by the Equipment Division Chief and includes the Hanover Auto Shop responsible for fleet maintenance and repair.
The Hanover Auto Facility is responsible for the maintenance and repair of SHA vehicles generally not assigned to Maintenance Shops or District Offices. The Shop maintains critical inventories and also serves as a central depot for Adopt a Highway program supplies. The Shop additionally manages fuel pumps and supports emergency operations performing fleet maintenance and repair.

The Highway Maintenance Division provides support for all highway maintenance operations throughout the state. The Division is organized into three sections: Contracts & Procurement, Training & Certification, and Operations Support.
