(June 25, 2009) – The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) is beginning a project this week to improve highway safety and operations at the intersection of MD 165 (Baldwin Mill Road) and Charles Street in Harford County. Weather permitting, the project will be complete early July 2009.

The $260,000 project includes slope cutting and brush removal to improve the sight distance for motorists. During construction work, daytime single lane closures with flagging operations may occur along MD 165 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily Monday – Friday and nighttime single lane closures with flagging operations may occur between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday – Thursday. The State’s contractor for this project is Concrete General, Inc. of Gaithersburg.
