What:

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA), in conjunction with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), invites interested persons to attend a Location/Design Public Hearing for the MD 28 / MD 198 Corridor Improvement Study from MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) to I-95.  The project aims to preserve the rural and suburban quality of life by addressing localized traffic issues while considering local planning visions and state growth policies for communities along the corridor.

The public hearing will familiarize attendees with the detailed engineering and environmental studies which have been conducted for this project. The public hearing will provide an opportunity for interested individuals to offer verbal or written comments on the proposed alternatives and environmental studies for the project record before a preferred alternative is selected.  Maps and other exhibits depicting the studied alternatives will be on display for public viewing beginning at 6:00 p.m. Project representatives will be available to answer questions. A formal presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will last approximately 30 minutes. The presentation will be followed by public testimony. Testimony can also be provided privately to a court reporter or in writing.
