MDOT SHA HOSTS INFORMATIONAL MEETING FOR MD 500 PROJECT IN PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY ON DECEMBER 19

Meeting Scheduled on Tuesday, December 19 in Mount Rainier to Discuss Project Design
 
What: 

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) is preparing for construction to begin on the MD 500 (Queens Chapel Road) Urban Reconstruction Project within the cities of Hyattsville and Mount Rainier in Prince George’s County. The project will make it easier and safer for vehicles, pedestrians, and bicycles to travel along Queens Chapel Road.

Work will extend from MD 500 at the Washington, D.C. line to MD 208 (Hamilton Street). Construction is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2018, and will include lane closures and a temporary detour of a section of Ager Road.

When:   

Tuesday, December 19, 2017 between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
A brief presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m.
