MDOT SHA’s contractor, Charles J. Miller, LLC of Hampstead, will be working from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, weather permitting. The right lane and shoulder of southbound US 15 will be closed so crews can safely perform the work. The contractor will use electronic message boards and barrels to alert motorists and guide vehicles through the work zone.

Once the daytime work is complete, the project will switch to overnight work hours from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday. The right lane and shoulder of southbound US 15 will be closed along with the westbound MD 26 ramp. Motorists traveling on westbound MD 26 heading to destinations south will be detoured to northbound US 15 and take the Monocacy Boulevard exit to access southbound US 15.

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and, look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes. For a list of all major MDOT SHA projects, go to roads.maryland.gov.
