Motorists Can Expect Temporary Lane Closures to Accommodate Paving Work

(April 21, 2023) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin a project on Tuesday, April 25, to improving the pavement and ride quality along sections of MD 152 (Fallston Road) in Harford County. The $962,000 project will take place between Pocock Road and MD 146 (Jarrettsville Pike), and is expected to be complete by late August, weather permitting.

Starting Tuesday, crews will work weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with single-lane closures and a flagging operation for two-way traffic through the work zone. Contractor Allan Myers-MD Inc., of Fallston, will perform the work.

The project is part of the State Highway Administration’s areawide highway maintenance paving program on state highways within Harford County. Customers who have questions about the paving work may contact the State Highway Administration’s District 4 Office – Maintenance Division at 410-229-2300 or toll-free at 1-866-998-0367.

The State Highway Administration understands roadwork can be an inconvenience for some travelers and asks all motorists to please stay alert and be patient as you pass through the work zone.
