Maryland One NEWS-May 23rd  marked the 3rd Anniversary of our world class hauling permit system,  Maryland One”.  In celebration we are pleased to announce that the auto-issue threshold has been increased for loads up to and including 200,000 pounds,  with an approved route analysis, as MDOT-SHA continues to strive for excellence in customer service.  Thank you for supporting “Maryland One” and our efforts to better serve you and your transportation needs.  Stay safe and buckle up during the upcoming holiday weekend.

4/18/2019Bay Bridge (US 50/301) Reduced Height Clearance
BAY BRIDGE (US 50/301)- The height clearance on the westbound span of the William Preston Lane Jr. Memorial (Bay) Bridge (US 50/301) will be REDUCED to 14’6” for approximately six months beginning April 23rd 2019. Specifically, the through-truss span height clearance will be reduced to 14’6”. Vehicles above this height should plan to take an alternate route.  The reduced clearance is necessary to complete the final phase of the westbound span painting.

Height Surveys

With the increase in bridge strikes we have been seeing lately, all permit applications that involve an over height dimension of 14” 6” (fourteen feet - six inches) or higher will require a height clearance route survey certification as part of the permit application. Please include the application number when you fax (800-945-3416) the survey to our office.
