The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) has begun preliminary work for its MD 355 (Rockville Pike) Crossing Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) project in Bethesda. The purpose of the project is to improve traffic flow between the west and east sides of MD 355 intersections at South Wood Road and South Drive.

A Public Meeting about the proposed barn was held on Thursday, April 7, 2016. The Informational Meeting acquainted the public with the project and provided attendees an opportunity to inform MDOT of their project-related concerns.

8/5/2015Travel Advisory Reminder: MD 381 to Close for One Weekend in Brandywine, Prince George’s County
CSX Transportation is repairing two railroad crossings along MD 381 (Brandywine Road) located between Tower Road and Brandywine Heights Road, just east of US 301 (Crain Highway). To allow crews to complete these repairs, SHA will temporarily close MD 381 at 6 p.m. Friday, August 14, and reopen the roadway by 5 a.m. Monday, August 17.
