6/25/2012New Ramps and Signals at I-95/MD 43 (White Marsh Boulevard) Interchange Open to Traffic 9 p.m. June 27
Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Traffic Advisory
June 25, 2012
WHAT: As part of the Maryland Transportation Authority’s I-95
Express Toll LanesSM (ETLsSM) Project, contractors have installed two temporary ramps for the following movements: northbound I-95 to westbound MD 43 (Exit 67B, White Marsh Boulevard), and southbound I-95 to eastbound MD 43 (Exit 67A, White Marsh Boulevard). Motorists should be aware that both ramp movements will change to traffic signal intersections; one new traffic signal and two right turn lanes will be at the ends of both ramps. The existing merge ramps will be closed. Portable electronic messaging signs along the exit ramps and White Marsh Boulevard will alert motorists of the new signalized intersections.

WHEN: Monday, June 25, through Wednesday, June 27, the new traffic signals will be flashing continuously for over 48 hours before the new ramps open. Around 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, the new signalized intersections will be active and the new ramps will open to traffic.

WHY: The temporary ramps and signalized intersections are needed for the I-95/MD 43 interchange reconstruction, a project that began last fall.
