Stormwater Management Site Development Criteria
The criteria in this document includes context-sensitive measures for stormwater management facilities beyond the standards set forth in the 2000 Maryland Stormwater Design Manual. This document has been developed to assist stormwater designers to incorporate safety, sustainability, visual, and environmental quality features into stormwater management (SWM) facilities.
As-built Certification Data Tables

Stormwater Management Facility Tracking Numbers
MDOT SHA assigns a unique tracking number to all SWM facilities that are owned by SHA and/or treat SHA runoff. Final facility data is requested from project development teams no earlier than 65% design for inclusion within the SHA NPDES geospatial database.
Notice of Intent (NOI) Application
Managers of MDOT SHA projects with a limit of disturbance (LOD) of one acre and greater must obtain a permit for coverage under the General Permit for Stormwater Discharge Associated with Construction Activity, otherwise known as Maryland General Permit No. 20-CP. As part of that process, documents must be submitted to the Highway Hydraulics Division liaison for the project. The application and related files are contained in the zip file linked below.
For additional information, please contact the assigned Highway Hydraulics Division liaison for your project or
