SHA WARNS MOTORISTS OF HEAVY TRAFFIC NEAR THE MARYLAND LIVE! CASINO IN HANOVER THIS AFTERNOON

(September 12, 2012) – The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) is warning motorists of the potential for extremely heavy traffic on MD 295 (Baltimore-Washington Parkway) and Arundel Mills Boulevard.  The traffic is associated with a special event at the Maryland Live! Casino in Hanover.

Motorists should use 511 before leaving work to obtain the latest travel conditions in the area and adjust their schedules or travel routes to avoid the potentially heavy delays along MD 295.

SHA recommends motorists choose I-95, US 1 (Washington Boulevard) or US 29 (Columbia Pike) as alternate routes.
