STATE HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION HOSTS INFORMATIONAL MEETING ABOUT PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS ALONG MD 144 (MAIN STREET) IN NEW MARKET

WHAT:
  
The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) is hosting an informational meeting regarding a project that is under design to improve drainage, roadway and sidewalks on MD 144 (Main Street) in New Market. The improvements would extend from west of Royal Oak Drive to east of Bye Alley and would include upgrades to the existing sidewalks and curb ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements, new signs, street lighting and landscaping.  The project is not currently funded for construction.

WHY:
     
The informational meeting will acquaint the public with the project and provide an opportunity for attendees to view displays, discuss concerns with SHA project representatives, and provide feedback on the proposed design. A brief presentation will begin at 6:15 p.m.
