(September 20, 2013) – Motorists on US 340 should be prepared for possible delays at the bridge over the Potomac River at the Maryland/Virginia state line next week due to a routine bridge inspection.

A flagging operation will be in place between 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. each day, Monday, September 23 through Thursday, September 26. Motorists should allow extra time and use caution in the area.

While SHA and its partners work hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones, each driver needs to actively modify his or her driving style to help prevent crashes.
