The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) is performing emergency roadwork on MD 7 (Philadelphia Road) north of Cowenton Avenue in Nottingham, Baltimore County.  SHA will be backfilling an area that is eroding due to last week’s heavy rains.  Traffic on Philadelphia Road is currently being alternated using a flagging operation. 

 

This work is expected to continue into Tuesday evening.

Motorists are encouraged to use US 40 (Pulaski Highway) or US 1 (Belair Road) as alternate routes.

 

While SHA and its partners work hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones, each driver needs to actively modify his or her driving style to help prevent crashes.
