(November 5, 2013) – This Wednesday night, November 6, and then again this weekend, the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) will close the northbound MD 295 (Baltimore-Washington Parkway) ramp to eastbound I-195 (Metropolitan Blvd.) for concrete repairs.

 

The ramp will be closed from 10 p.m. Wednesday through 5 a.m. Thursday so crews can remove damaged concrete in preparation for weekend patching.  Crews will close the ramp again on Saturday evening November 9 at 5 p.m. for excavation and patching.  The concrete repairs require “cure” time; crews will open the ramp by 5 a.m. Monday.

 

Northbound MD 295 motorists accessing the airport during these times should follow posted detour signs using West Nursery Road to southbound MD 295 to eastbound I-195 to the airport.  Because traffic conditions can vary, airport-bound motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra time to catch flights.
