Due to additional snow in the forecast, the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) will postpone its public meeting about a proposed roundabout at MD 144 (West Washington Street) and Western Maryland Parkway. The meeting will be rescheduled for the snow date, Tuesday, December 17 from 6 to 8 p.m.

What:

The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) will host a public meeting regarding a proposed roundabout at MD 144 (West Washington Street) and Western Maryland Parkway (MD 910C) near Hagerstown.

When:

Tuesday, December 17, 2013, 6 to 8 p.m.

Where:

Winter Street Elementary School (Cafeteria), 59 Winter Street, Hagerstown

Why:

SHA proposes to replace the intersection at MD 144 and Western Maryland Parkway with a roundabout for improved safety and traffic flow. During construction, through-traffic on MD 144 would be detoured onto US 40.

The informational meeting will acquaint members of the public with the project and allow attendees to share their project-related comments and concerns with the project team. At 6:15 PM, SHA representatives will give a brief presentation about the proposed improvements and the construction process. Staff will be available before and after the presentation to discuss project issues and answer questions.
