(March 7, 2014) – The Intercounty Connector Project will close one of two lanes in both directions along US 1 (Baltimore Avenue) between Contee Road and Muirkirk Road, beginning 6 p.m. tonight through noon on Sunday, March 9, weather permitting. The extended lane closures allow new concrete patches the necessary time to cure.  This work is associated with Contract D/E of the Intercounty Connector (ICC) project.

Delays are likely along US 1 this weekend, particularly on Saturday. Motorists can use I-95 to the west or MD 295 to the east as alternate routes.  Portable message signs, cones, and barrels will guide motorists through the work zone. In case of inclement weather, this work will occur next weekend, March 14, 15 and 16.
