(July 30, 2014) - On Thursday morning August 7 at 7 a.m. the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) will close a section of Main Street (MD 765A) in Prince Frederick (Calvert County) between Calvert Towne Road and MD 2/4 (Solomons Island Road) near Industry Lane for emergency pipe replacement.

SHA will replace two deteriorated 48-inch metal drain pipes carrying Parkers Creek under Main Street.  Work is expected to take no longer than two days.  This closure is south of the downtown Prince Frederick area.  Motorists can use Old Field Lane, Duke Street or MD 231 (Church Street) to access Main Street.

This work is being performed by Brawner Builders of Hunt Valley under an areawide (multiple location) maintenance contract.  Nearly 4,200 vehicles travel MD 765A each day.
