(January 20, 2015) – The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) will make emergency repairs this afternoon on the driving surface of the bridge on northbound I-95 over Stansfield Road, just prior to MD 216 (Scaggsville Road) in Laurel. Crews will block two left lanes to make the deck repair and the closure could impact the afternoon rush hour.

SHA recommends that northbound I-95 commuters use MD 295 (Baltimore Washington Parkway), US 1 (Baltimore Avenue) or US 29 (Columbia Pike) as alternate routes. Motorists on northbound I-95 can also use MD 198 west to northbound US 29 as an alternate.

Motorists should be prepared for  delays along these north/south routes this afternoon and leave extra  time for traveling.

To obtain the latest travel conditions, including access to live traffic cameras, drivers can log onto www.md511.org and check in with SHA on Facebook and Twitter for updates.
