Construction work will include lane shifts throughout the work zone; no detours are expected. In 2013, SHA constructed a mid-block crossing signal between Walters Lane and Donnell Drive; this signal will be retained as part of this project. Preliminary pavement work will begin later this summer.

SHA project engineers will highlight specific improvements designed to address pedestrian and bicycle access, a reduction in vehicle speeds in both directions and improve drainage and storm water management.

Additional information is available at the MD 4 project web site. To request special accommodations, please contact Mr. Jared Paper-Evers, SHA Design Project Manager, at 410-545-8400 or jpaperevers@sha.state.md.us
