Motorists Should Expect Weekday Lane Closures with Flagging Operations

(March 30, 2016) – The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) is beginning a highway maintenance project to repair and resurface sections of MD 128 (Butler Road) between Worthington Hill Drive and MD 25 (Falls Road) in the Glyndon/Butler communities of Baltimore County.

SHA’s contractor, Gray and Son, Inc. of Timonium, will patch, grind (remove top layer) and resurface deteriorated sections of pavement along 6.5 miles of Butler Road during the next two months.  Weather permitting, the $2.2 million project will be complete late spring.

During construction, motorists should expect temporary lane closures and flagging operations along sections of Butler Road between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.  If necessary, crews may also work on Saturdays, with temporary lane closures between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m.  Motorists should plan ahead for extra travel time on Butler Road and look ahead for flag persons, rolling equipment and contractor crews in the highway maintenance work zone.
