(June 10, 2016) – The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) will close one of two lanes and will alternate traffic using a flagging operation on the Thomas Johnson Bridge between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. June 14, 15 and 16.  The overnight lane closures are necessary as crews repair sections of the concrete deck.

This work is weather-dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of rain or high winds.

SHA asks for motorists’ patience during the flagging operation.  Each driver needs to actively modify his or her driving style to help prevent crashes. Stay alert – look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers. Slow down and don't follow too closely. Safer Driving. Safer Work Zones. For everyone!
