MD 26 LIBERTYTOWN PEDESTRIAN SAFETY AND RESURFACING PROJECT INFORMATIONAL MEETING SCHEDULED FOR JULY 13

The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) is designing improvements for MD 26 (Liberty Road) in Libertytown. The project extends for more than one mile between West South Street and MD 31 (New Windsor Road) and will improve pedestrian safety, slow traffic and improve the ride quality. Construction is scheduled to begin next year.

The informational meeting will update the public about the project and engineering design and provide attendees an opportunity to discuss project details. Maps and displays will provide an overview of the proposed improvements.  Project representatives will be available to answer questions. Attendees may arrive at any time during meeting hours and walk through the display area.
