Weekend Events That Could Impact Traffic
• Army/Navy Game and President Elect Donald Trump in attendance – Expect delays on I-95 and I-83 (Jones Falls Expressway).
• “Shop with a Cop” -- Shop with a Cop is Saturday and starts at North East VFD on MD 272 and just runs across US 40 to Walmart in North East, Cecil County.
Major Weekend Lane Closures
Baltimore County
• Outer loop of I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) ramp to southbound I-83 (Jones Falls Expressway) – Routine bridge inspection – Ramp to closed and be detoured on Sunday, December 11 between 12 midnight and 5 a.m. Sunday.
Cecil County
• EB and WB US 40 (Pulaski Highway) between MD 222 and MD 272 – Resurfacing – Single lane closures on US 40 Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Frederick County
• Eastbound I-70 ramp to I-270– Police reconstruction – Ramp closure and detour Saturday between 7 a.m. and 12 noon.
Howard County
• Northbound I-95 north of MD 216 at the Gorman Road Bridge - Bridge painting – Double left lane closure Friday beginning at 8 p.m. (double at 11 p.m.) until 5 a.m.
Montgomery County
• MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) at Randolph Road – Traffic switch for interchange constriction project – Multiple lane closures beginning 7 a.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Monday. Here are the lanes to be affected:
• Two left turn lanes on northbound MD 97 prior to Mason Street;
• Two left turn lanes on southbound MD 97 prior to Layhill Road (MD 182);
• One left turn lane on Layhill Road; and
• Two left lanes on westbound Randolph Road prior to Glenmont Circle.
• MD 124 (Quince Orchard Road) between Orchard Ridge Road and MD 355 (Frederick Road) – Resurfacing – Single and double lane closure Saturday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Approximately one week of work remaining.
• MD 27 (Ridge Road) between Sunset Drive and MD 80 (Kemptown Road) – Patching - Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (was night work.)
Prince George’s County
• CANCELLED - Eastbound US 50 between Lottsford Vista Road and the Anne Arundel County line – Raised pavement marking installation – Double lane closures Friday and Saturday between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.
• MD 193 (University Boulevard) between US 1 (Baltimore Avenue) and Campus Way – Resurfacing – Single lane closures 7 days a week from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Approximately 5 days of work remaining.
• MD 704 (Martin Luther King Jr. Highway) between Hill Road and Greenleaf Road – Resurfacing – Single lane closures Mondays through Saturdays 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Worcester County
• MD 90 (Ocean City Expressway) between US 50 (Ocean Gateway) and US 113 (Worcester Highway) – Resurfacing – Road to be closed Saturday, December 10 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Work will continue next week until December 16. Motorists will be detoured to EB US 50 to NB US 113 to EB MD 90.

Baltimore County
• MD 147 (Harford Road) at Glen Arm Road/Mt. Vista Road – Roundabout construction – Mt. Vista Road leg of intersection is closed and detoured. The detour is Sunshine Avenue to US 1 (Belair Road.)
Cecil County
• MD 222 Bridge over Rock Run – Bridge replacement – Total closure and detour for ten weeks. Project will be completed early November. Road to reopen by early January.
Montgomery County
• MD 195 (Carroll Avenue) between Jefferson Avenue and Flower Avenue (MD 195 Bridge over Sligo Creek and Parkway) - Bridge rehabilitation – Bridge to closed and traffic detoured for one year.
Wicomico County
• MD 54 (Delmar Road) Bridge over Mockingbird Creek - Bridge replacement – Bridge closed and traffic detoured for ten weeks. Bridge should reopen before Christmas.
• MD 349 (Nanticoke Road) Bridge over Windsor Creek - Bridge replacement – Bridge to close and traffic to be detoured for ten weeks. Bridge should reopen February.

Anne Arundel County
• I-895 (Harbor Tunnel Thruway) Bridge over the Patapsco River (Patapsco Flats) (MDTA project) – Bridge rehabilitation – Reduced lanes.
Baltimore County
• Outer loop I-695 at the Bridge over Northeast Creek (prior to MD 702) – Bridge rehabilitation – Nighttime outer loop closure and detour between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sundays through Fridays. SHA will direct outer loop traffic to MD 150 (Eastern Avenue) to MD 702 and back to the outer loop.
Caroline, Queen Anne’s and Talbot counties
• MD 404 between US 50 and the Town of Denton – Dualization – Single daytime and night time lane closures.
Carroll County
• MD 75 (Green Valley Road) between the Frederick County line and North Main Street – Pavement patching – Single lane closures with a flagging operation 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Cecil County
• MD 273 (Telegraph Road) at Appleton Road – Roundabout construction – Single lane closures with a flagging operation 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Frederick County
• US 40 Alternate (Main Street) between Ivy Hill Drive and Middletown Parkway – Streetscape project – Single lane closures with a flagging operation Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Howard County
• MD 27 (Ridge Road) between the Frederick County line and the Montgomery County line – Resurfacing - Single lane closures with flagging operation Sundays through Thursdays between 9 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Montgomery County
• MD 355 (Rockville Pike) from Templeton Place to Hubbard Drive – Resurfacing – Single and double lane closures Sundays through Thursdays between 7 a.m. and 5 a.m.
Prince George’s County
• MD 201 (Kenilworth Avenue) between I-95/I-495 and Cherrywood Lane - Resurfacing – Single and double lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Wicomico County
• US 13 (Salisbury Bypass) near the US 50 interchange – Traffic pattern change/bidirectional traffic using median for bridge deck project.
