Motorists Should Expect Occasional Flagging Operations during Construction

(January 3, 2017) – Tomorrow, the Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) will begin a $300,000 project to replace deteriorated sections of concrete sidewalk and upgrade guardrail along MD 103 (Dorsey Road) between the Anne Arundel County line and Lennox Avenue in Howard County.  The repair should be complete spring, weather permitting.

During construction, crews will need to close one lane and guide traffic using a flagging operation weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.  Nearly 9,000 vehicles use this section of MD 103 each day so motorists should plan extra travel time.
