US 15 ALTERNATES PUBLIC WORKSHOP SCHEDULED FOR JUNE 13 IN FREDERICK COUNTY

Study Corridor Extends from I-270 to MD 26; Area Residents are Encouraged to Attend

What:  

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) is continuing the US 15 study focused on addressing vehicular safety, congestion relief and mainline operations.  The US 15 Study Corridor is approximately four miles within the City of Frederick between the I-70/I-270 Interchange and north of MD 26 (Liberty Road).

When: 

Tuesday, June 13, 2017 between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Where: 

Governor Thomas Johnson High School – Cafeteria, 1501 N. Market Street, Frederick, MD 21701

Why: 

The Alternatives Public Workshop team will present maps and other exhibits of the preliminary alternatives under consideration, traffic data, and potential environmental impacts.  The workshop will provide an opportunity for study team members to hear project-related comments, explain the project planning process, present the Purpose and Need Statement, and share the preliminary project findings.  There will be no formal presentation; attendees may arrive at any time and walk through at their own pace.
