Major Weekend Lane Closures

Anne Arundel County

 

• Southbound MD 295 (Baltimore-Washington Parkway) between I-195 and MD 100 – Pavement repair associated with resurfacing project – One of two lanes to be closed beginning at 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday.  Motorists should consider using I-95 or US 1 (Washington Boulevard) as alternate routes.  Same closures will occur next weekend as well, July 21-24.
 
Baltimore County

 

• I-695 at Milford Mill – Lane closures Sunday and Wednesday nights for bridge replacement project. Completion expected in August. 

 

• Ruxton Road Bridge over I-83 (Jones Falls Expressway) – Routine bridge inspection – Single lane closures Sunday between 4 a.m. and 12 noon. 

 

• Outer loop of I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) between MD 147 (Harford Road) and MD 41 (Perring Parkway) – Final paving/striping associated interchange reconstruction/bridge replacement project – Double lane closures on the outer loop I-695 Sundays through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.  Approximately two weeks of final paving/striping remaining.

 

• (MDTA Project) Inner loop of I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) between US 1 (Belair Road) and I-95 – Final paving/striping associated with Express Toll Lane Project – Double lane closures on the outer loop I-695 Sundays through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.  Should be complete by early August.

 

• Ruxton Road Bridge over I-83 (Jones Falls Expressway) – Routine bridge inspection – Single lane closures Sunday between 4 a.m. and 12 noon. 

 

• Northbound I-83 between Shawan Road and MD 137 (Mt. Carmel Road) – Resurfacing – Single lane and shoulder closures Sundays through Fridays between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

 

Dorchester County

 

• MD 14 (Rhodesdale-Eldorado Road) bridge over Marshyhope Creek (Brookview Bridge) -  Single lane closures and flagging across the bridge from sunrise to sunset starting July 17.

 

Frederick County

• MD 140 in Emmitsburg – Waterline Work will take place in the Town Square of Emmitsburg beginning Friday, July 14th at 7 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m. Traffic will be detoured via MD 550 and US 15. Local traffic should use W. Lincoln Ave. and Federal Ave.

• MD 80 (Fingerboard Road) between MD 75 (Green Valley Road) and the Montgomery County line – Resurfacing – Single lane closure guided by flaggers Sunday nights to Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

 

Harford County

 

• Westbound MD 22 at Beards Hill Road – Paving operations – Single lane closure Saturday between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. and on Sunday between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Monday.

Howard County

 

• MD 94 (Woodbine Road) at A.E. Mullinix Road – Culvert rehabilitation – Single lane closures guided by a 24-hour flagging operation between July 7 until the end of July.

 

• Northbound US 29 between Seneca Drive and MD 175 – Final paving – Single lane closure Friday and Saturday between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. each morning.
Montgomery County
 
• MD 355 (Rockville Pike) between Wilson Drive and Woodmont Avenue - Montgomery County Crossing Project clearing and curb work - Single and double left and right lane closures in each direction beginning Friday at 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday.

 

• Southbound MD 355 (Rockville Pike) Battery Lane and Cordell Avenue – Private crane operation – Multiple lane closures Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

• MD 187 (Old Georgetown Road) between Johnson Avenue and Sonoma Road - Roadway widening - Single and double lane closures Sundays through Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. and Mondays through Fridays between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.

• MD 320 (Piney Branch Road) at Sligo Creek Parkway - Pedestrian bridge construction - Single lane closure Mondays through Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

 

• US 29 (Colesville Road) between I-495 (Capital Beltway) and MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) -  WSSC water line replacement project - Single and double lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sundays through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

 

•  Shady Grove Road Bridge over I-370 – Routine bridge inspection – Single lane closures Sunday between 4 a.m. and 12 noon. 

Prince George’s County

 

• Westbound US 50 (John Hanson Highway) between the Anne Arundel County Line and Lottsford Vista Road - Resurfacing – Single, double and triple lane closures Fridays through Mondays between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. and double lane closures Sundays through Thursdays between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

 

• MD 210 (Indian Head Highway) between I-295/I-495 ramps and Palmer Road - Interchange construction - Single lane closures Sunday nights to Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. and Mondays through Saturdays between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

 

• Inner and outer loops (north and southbound I-95) of I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) between MD 337 (Allentown Road) and MD 4 (Pennsylvania Avenue) – Shoulder construction/Interchange work – Single and double lane closure in each direction Sundays through Fridays from 7 p.m. until to 5:00 a.m.

• MD 201 (Kenilworth Avenue) between 48th Street and Riverdale Road – Resurfacing - Single lane closures Saturday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Baltimore County

 

• MD 147 (Harford Road) at Glen Arm Road/Mt. Vista Road – Roundabout construction –Glen Arm Road is closed and detoured. 

 

Charles County

 

• MD 234 (Budds Creek Road) Bridge over Gilbert Swamp Run – Bridge replacement – Single lane closure guided by a temporary traffic signal until spring 2018.  

 

Frederick County

 

• MD 194 (Woodsboro Pike) Bridge over Little Pipe Creek (at the Carroll County line) – Bridge replacement project –Bridge closed for 10 weeks for expedited replacement on June 17 until September 4, 2017.

 

Washington County

 

• MD 63 (Spielman Road) Bridge over St. James Run – Culvert replacement – Total closure and detour between June 5 and August 14 to expedite the work. 

 

Wicomico County

• Southbound US 13 ramp/bridge to the eastbound/southbound Salisbury Bypass – Bridge/ramp rehabilitation – Total closure and detour until early September to expedite the work.

•  MD 75 (Green Valley Road) Bridge over I-70 – Concrete bridge deck patching – Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. 

 

Montgomery County

• MD 586 (Veirs Mill Road) between the Rock Creek Bridge and Ferrara Avenue and between MD 193 (University Boulevard) – Safety and paving work - Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and double lanes permitted Sundays through Thursdays from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

 

• MD 28 (Darnestown Road) between MD 124 (Quince Orchard Road) and Argosy Road - Sidewalk construction/part of safety/resurfacing project - Single eastbound lane closures Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

 

Prince George’s County

• US 1 Alternate (Bladensburg Road) between Eastern Avenue (Washington D.C. line) and the Anacostia River Bridge – (Resurfacing) – Single lane closures guided by flagging Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday nights through Friday mornings.
