Crews to Improve Surface of Eight Ramps Weeknights Through the End of September

(August 11, 2017) – Next week, the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will improve eight interchange ramps at the I-695 (Baltimore Beltway)/MD 295 (Baltimore-Washington Parkway) interchange. The project will be complete late-September.

The project is part of an overall $1.1 million areawide contract to enhance interchange ramps in Anne Arundel County. Other locations will be determined following this application.

MDOT SHA’s contractor, Blue Cube Operations LLC. of Twinsburg, OH, will use cones, barrels and arrow boards to detour each ramp accordingly during the project. Motorists can expect overnight ramp closures beginning at 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays.

The e-Road Ready 2017 electronic construction brochure is now available by clicking here. The e-brochure highlights major road construction and maintenance projects in Maryland.

Stay alert and look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers.  Slow down and don’t follow too closely. Work Zone Safety is in Your Hands. Maryland drivers can also know before they go by calling 511 or visiting www.md511.org for live traffic updates.
