Happening, Thursday, June 14 beginning at 9 p.m.

Queen Anne’s County
 
• Eastbound US 50 ramp to and from Thompson Creek Road (exit 38A) to close at 9 p.m. tonight, June 14 until 5 a.m. Friday for roundabout upgrade. Motorists should use MD 8 (Romancoke Road) as detour. new
 
Major Weekend Lane Closures (Weather Permitting)

Anne Arundel County

• Inner loop of I-695 at the Curtis Creek Drawbridge – Drawbridge repair – (MDTA project) Inner loop I-695 closed and traffic in two-way operation using the outer loop of I-695 until November 2018.

• Northbound I-895 Bridge over the Patapsco Flats (Between MD 295 and the I-97/MD spur) – Bridge rehabilitation – (MDTA project) 24/7 right lane closure until summer 2019.

Montgomery County

• HIGH-IMPACT – Outer loop of I-495 (Capital Beltway) Bridge over Kensington Parkway (just east of MD 185) - Bridge deck (driving surface) resurfacing – TRIPLE lane closures between MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) and MD 185 (Connecticut Avenue) beginning 9 p.m. Friday, June 15 until 5 p.m. Saturday, June 16. Major delays expected.

• US 29 (Colesville Road) between I-495 (Capital Beltway) and MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) -  WSSC water line replacement project - Single and double lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Sundays through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Single lane closures Saturday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Long-Term Closures

Baltimore County

• MD 144 (Frederick Road) at River Road – Flooding/Washout – Road closed. Motorists should consider using US 40 (Baltimore National Pike).

Charles County

• MD 224 (Riverside Road) Bridge over Thorne Gut Branch – Bridge replacement – Total closure and detour for 10-weeks. Click here for more details and detour information.

• MD 234 (Budds Creek Road) Bridge over Gilbert Swamp Run – Bridge replacement – Open to traffic.

Frederick County

• Eastbound US 40 Alternate (Old National Pike) between Fern Lane and Ridge Road – Roadside slope repair – Right truck “climbing” lane and shoulder closed until late-August.

MAJOR Closures for Next Week

Anne Arundel County

• Southbound I-97 ramp to eastbound MD 100 – Ramp resurfacing – Ramp closure and detour Monday through Thursday between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. each morning. new

Baltimore County

• I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) between Greenspring Avenue and MD 25 (Falls Road) – Resurfacing – Single and double lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

• Northbound/Westbound MD 140 (Reisterstown Road) at McDonough Road/Cradock lane – BGE utility work – Left turn lane from southbound Reisterstown Road onto Cradock Lane will be closed until early-May.
 
Prince George’s County
 
• HIGH IMPACT - Northbound I-95/I-495 (inner loop) Bridge over MD 450 (Annapolis Road) - Bridge deck (driving surface) repairs - Intermittent single, double and triple lane closures Monday through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Queen Anne’s County
 
MDOT SHA is improving pretty much all of MD 8 (Romancoke Road) between Kent Manor Drive (just south of US 50) and the end of the road at the Romancoke Pier. Details of work below:

• MD 8 (Romancoke Road) between Batts Neck Road and the Romancoke Pier – Resurfacing – Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. new
 
• MD 8 (Romancoke Road) between Kent Manor Drive (just south of US 50) to Batts Neck Road – Pavement improvement/micro surfacing – Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. new
 
• US 301 (Blue Star Memorial Highway) between Greenspring Road and MD 213 (Centreville Road) – Resurfacing – Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. new

Washington County

• I-81 between the Potomac River Bridge (West Virginia line) and MD 68/MD 63 (Lappans Road) – Highway widening project – Left lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. There may be occasional, brief total closures to move equipment and material into place between 2 midnight and 4 a.m.
