• HIGH-IMPACT - I-81 north of the Maryland line in Pennsylvania to be reduced to a single lane to repair damaged concrete slabs near the Pennsylvania Welcome Center. THIS WEEKEND, PENN DOT will begin the work at 9 p.m. Friday and continue until 6 a.m. Monday, or sooner should the work be complete earlier. This will impact I-81 in Maryland. Drivers may use US 15 northbound in Frederick County to the east, or I-70 through Breezewood to the west as alternate routes. new

• Inner loop of I-695 at the Curtis Creek Drawbridge – Drawbridge repair – (MDTA project) - Bridge rehabilitation - Inner loop I-695 closed and traffic in two-way operation using the outer loop of I-695 until November 2018.

• Northbound I-895 Bridge over the Patapsco Flats (Between MD 295 and the I-97/MD spur) – Bridge rehabilitation – (MDTA project) 24/7 right lane closure until summer 2019.

• Inner loop I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) ramp to southbound I-95 **SW Corner** - Ramp resurfacing – Ramp closure and detour beginning at 10 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday. new

 

• US 40 Alternate (East Main Street) at MD 17 (Church Street) – Underground storage tank removal – Flagging operation to alternate traffic beginning Friday and continuing into Saturday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. new

• I-270/Montrose Road Interchange – Interchange ramp resurfacing – Ramp closures and detours Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Should be complete mid-September.

• US 29 (Colesville Road) between I-495 (Capital Beltway) and MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) - WSSC water line replacement project - Single and double lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Sundays through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Single lane closures Saturday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

• MD 224 (Riverside Road) Bridge over Thorne Gut Branch – Bridge replacement – Total closure and through early September.

• Eastbound US 40 Alternate (Old National Pike) between Fern Lane and Ridge Road on Braddock Mountain– Roadside slope repair – Right truck “climbing” lane and shoulder closed until early-fall.

• MD 381 (Brandywine Road) Bridge over Timothy Branch – Bridge replacement – Total closure and detour until fall. new date

• Westbound MD 175 (Annapolis Road) between Walker Drive and Reese Road – Highway widening project/paving operations – Westbound MD 174 will be shifted to the right starting August 28. The shift will be in effect until mid-September.

 

• HIGH-IMPACT - Outer Loop I-695 at I-83 (Baltimore-Harrisburg Expressway) – Bridge maintenance of the flyover ramp – Double left lane closures from 10 p.m. Monday until 5 a.m. Tuesday. Crews will work at the same time and same lane closures Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. new

 

• MD 7 (Philadelphia Road) between Hospital Drive and King Avenue – Pavement patching – Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.  Project to be complete by late-September.

 

 

 

• MD 100 between east of Snowden River Parkway and east of US 1 (Washington Boulevard) – Resurfacing – Single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. each morning.

• MD 32 between Linden Church Road and Broadwater Lane – Traffic switch for highway widening project – AFTER Labor Day - Crews will close two ramp movements at the MD 32 / Linden Church Road interchange:

 

• Southbound MD 32 ramp onto Linden Church Road exit-ramp: This ramp movement will be closed for two months beginning the first week of September.

 

• Linden Church Road off-ramp onto southbound MD 32: This ramp movement will be temporarily closed for one weekend during the month of September. MDOT SHA will provide notification of the dates in advance.

 

• Also, in September, crews will use a temporary flagging operation to direct drivers along Broadwater Lane; this daytime-only traffic pattern change will take place south of the Linden Church Road interchange, allowing crews to replace two pipe culverts. Two lanes will remain open for travel outside of work hours. new

 

• MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) between White Oak Drive and MD 193 (University Boulevard) – Resurfacing – Single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

 

• US 301 (Crain Highway) between MD 214 (Central Avenue) and Trade Zone Avenue – Verizon utility work – Single lane closures from 1 a.m. until 5 a.m. Tuesday, August 28. new

 

 

• I-81 between the Potomac River Bridge (West Virginia line) and MD 68/MD 63 (Lappans Road) – Highway widening project – Left lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. There may be occasional, brief total closures to move equipment and material into place between 2 midnight and 4 a.m.
