The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) will perform emergency signal work tonight, Friday, September 14 necessitating the TOTAL closure of I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) at the Curtis Creek Drawbridge in Baltimore City. The closures and detours will be in place between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Saturday. Motorists are encouraged to use I-95 as an alternate route.

Sunday In Prince George’s County, Washington Redskins NFL Football home opener against the Indianapolis Colts. Game time is 1 p.m., but fans will arrive early. Expect delays in the Landover and Largo areas. MDOT SHA will deploy additional CHART crews to help keep lanes open and traffic moving.

• Inner loop of I-695 at the Curtis Creek Drawbridge – Drawbridge repair – (MDTA project) Inner loop I-695 closed and traffic in two-way operation using the outer loop of I-695 until November 2018.

• Northbound I-895 Bridge over the Patapsco Flats (Between MD 295 and the I-97/MD spur) – Bridge rehabilitation – (MDTA project) 24/7 right lane closure until summer 2019.

• US 29 (Colesville Road) between I-495 (Capital Beltway) and MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) - WSSC water line replacement project - Single and double lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Sundays through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Single lane closures Saturday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

• HIGH-IMPACT - Northbound I-95 (outer loop I-495) at the Suitland Road Bridge – Traffic shift for bridge replacement project – Single, double and triple lane closures beginning at 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 15 with all lanes open by 8 a.m., September 16. new

• HIGH-IMPACT - Southbound I-95 (inner loop I-495) at bridge over MD 450 (Annapolis Road) – Bridge joint and concrete work – Double lane closures beginning at 9 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday. This will continue Sunday nights through Friday mornings until early-October. new

• MD 214 (Central Avenue) between US 301 (Crain Highway) and the Anne Arundel County line – Resurfacing project – Single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. new

•  Westbound US 50 (John Hanson Highway) Bridge over Columbia Park Road – Bridge joint repairs – Single lane closures between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday nights through Friday mornings until October.

 

• Eastbound Padonia Road ramp to northbound I-83 – Ramp closure for bridge replacement project – Beginning September 19, motorists will be guided to Deerco Road to the I-83/Timonium Road interchange. New date

• Eastbound US 40 Alternate (Old National Pike) between Fern Lane and Ridge Road – Roadside slope repair – Right truck “climbing” lane and shoulder closed until early-fall.

• MD 381 (Brandywine Road) Bridge over Timothy Branch – Bridge replacement – Total closure and detour until fall.

• Westbound MD 175 (Annapolis Road) between Walker Drive and Reese Road – Highway widening project/paving operations – Westbound MD 174 shifted to the right the shift and left lane closure will be in effect until early-October.

• HIGH-IMPACT - Outer loop I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) between US 40 (Baltimore National Pike) and Edmonson Avenue – Steel beam placement on Ingleside Avenue Bridge for Beltway widening project – Double lane closures on Friday, September 21 between 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Saturday, September 22. Ingleside Avenue will be closed and detoured between 9 p.m. Friday until 4 p.m. Saturday. new

• MD 140 (Reisterstown Road) between Sudbrook Lane and Waldron Avenue – BGE electrical work – Lane reductions and on-street parking restrictions until the end of October.

 

• MD 32 between Linden Church Road and Broadwater Lane – Traffic switch for highway widening project – Southbound MD 32 ramp onto Linden Church Road exit ramp is closed and detoured until November.

• MD 100 between east of Snowden River Parkway and east of US 1 (Washington Boulevard) – Resurfacing – Single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. each morning.

 

• MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) between White Oak Drive and MD 193 (University Boulevard) – Resurfacing – Single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

• I-81 between the Potomac River Bridge (West Virginia line) and MD 68/MD 63 (Lappans Road) – Highway widening project – Left lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. There may be occasional, brief total closures to move equipment and material into place between 2 midnight and 4 a.m.
