New Traffic Pattern – Howard County - The old loop ramp from northbound US 29 to westbound MD 175 in is closed by a traffic barrier. The new ramp spur (NB US 29 to WB MD 175) has a new traffic signal, which was placed on full color operation on Tuesday, October 16.

• HIGH-IMPACT - Southbound MD 295 (Baltimore-Washington Parkway) at MD 175 (Annapolis Road) - Utility work - left lane and shoulder to close 7 a.m. Saturday until 7 a.m. Sunday. new

• Northbound I-895 Bridge over the Patapsco Flats (Between MD 295 and the I-97/MD spur) – Bridge rehabilitation – (MDTA project) 24/7 right lane closure until summer 2019.

• Inner loop of I-695 at the Curtis Creek Drawbridge – Drawbridge repair – (MDTA project) Inner loop I-695 closed and traffic in two-way operation using the outer loop of I-695 until November 2018.

• Eastbound and westbound Us 40 (Pulaski Highway) between Days Cove Road and Joppa Farm Road – Re-striping for lane shift associated with US 40 Bridges over Gunpowder Falls rehabilitation project – Single lane closures in both directions beginning at 8 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday. Lanes will be narrowed to 11-foot wide lanes. new

 

• I-83 (Baltimore-Harrisburg Expressway) at MD 137 (Mt. Carmel Road) – Removal of paint shielding - Total closures and detours (using the ramps to go up and over the bridge and back to I-83 beginning at 9 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday. (SB I-83 close and detour at 9 p.m. and NB I-83 close and detour beginning at 10 p.m.) new

• HIGH-IMPACT – MD 28 (Dickerson Road) Bridge over the Monocacy River – Bridge rehabilitation project – Bridge to be closed and detoured beginning 6 a.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Monday, then nightly Monday through Friday morning between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Again- this weekend

• MD 104 (Waterloo Road) between MD 103 (Montgomery Road) and MD 108 – Resurfacing – Single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Completion estimation is early November. new

• MD 410 (Philadelphia Avenue) at Chicago Avenue - Emergency storm drain repair - Intermittent single and double lane closures on MD 410 up to 24 hours daily through late-October. Drivers should consider MD 97 (Georgia Avenue), MD 195 (Carroll Avenue) or MD 320 (Piney Branch Road) as alternate routes. new

• Northbound I-270 at MD 109 (Old Hundred Road) – Paving/line striping – Single lane closures Sunday beginning at 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday.

• US 29 (Colesville Road) between I-495 (Capital Beltway) and MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) - WSSC water line replacement project - Single and double lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Sundays through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Single lane closures Saturday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

• HIGH-IMPACT - Northbound I-95 (outer loop I-495) Bridge over MD 450 (Annapolis Road) – Bridge deck resurfacing – Double lane closures beginning at 9 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday. This will continue Sunday nights through Friday mornings until late-October.

 

• Westbound US 50 (Ocean Gateway) between MD 404 (Queen Anne Highway) and MD 662 (Wye Mills Road) – Resurfacing – Single lane closures Saturday beginning at 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Mondays through Friday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. until early November. new

Long-Term Closures

• Eastbound Padonia Road ramp to northbound I-83 – Ramp closure for bridge replacement project – Motorists will be guided to Deerco Road to the I-83/Timonium Road interchange.

• Eastbound US 40 Alternate (Old National Pike) between Fern Lane and Ridge Road – Roadside slope repair – Right truck “climbing” lane and shoulder closed until beginning of November.

• MD 32 between Linden Church Road and Broadwater Lane – Traffic switch for highway widening project – Southbound MD 32 ramp onto Linden Church Road exit ramp is closed and detoured until November.

• MD 381 (Brandywine Road) Bridge over Timothy Branch – Bridge replacement – Total closure and detour until last week of October.

• US 301 (Crain Highway) between Frank Tippett Road and Trumps Hill Road - Gas pipeline construction and installation (Washington Gas project) – Single right lane closure through spring 2019.

• US 13 (Ocean Highway) northbound over Pocomoke River at the Worcester/Somerset county line – Bridge work – Northbound US 13 bridge over Pocomoke River has been reduced to one 12-foot lane for bridge work through the early-fall.

• MD 349 (Nanticoke Road) near Rockawalkin Road – Washout/major road repair – MD 349 is closed and detoured. new
 
Worcester County

• MD 346 (Old Ocean City Road) at MD 90 (Ocean City Expressway) – Slope erosion repair – MD 346 is closed and detoured. Approximately 10 days’ worth of work remaining.

• HIGH-IMPACT - MD 589 (Racetrack Road) near Gum Point Road (north of Ocean Downs Casino) – Slope repair - Road to be closed and detoured beginning October 8 and continuing up to eight weeks. Detour routes uses US 50, US 113 and MD 90.

 

• MD 140 (Reisterstown Road) between Sudbrook Lane and Waldron Avenue – BGE electrical work – Lane reductions and on-street parking restrictions until the end of October.

• MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) between White Oak Drive and MD 193 (University Boulevard) – Resurfacing – Single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

• I-81 between the Potomac River Bridge (West Virginia line) and MD 68/MD 63 (Lappans Road) – Highway widening project – Left lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. There may be occasional, brief total closures to move equipment and material into place between 2 midnight and 4 a.m.

 

Worcester County

• MD 90 (Ocean City Expressway) between Ocean Parkway and MD 528 (Coastal Highway) – Routine bridge inspection of St. Martin River and Assawoman Bay bridges – Single lane closures Tuesdays through Thursdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. until the end of October.

 

• MD 213 (Church Hill Road) Drawbridge over the Chester River – Routine bridge maintenance – Bridge test openings on Monday, October 29 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. new
