Major Weekend Lane Closures
 
Baltimore County
 
HIGH IMPACT -  Falls Road (MD 25), between Seminary Avenue and Padonia Road is closed through Saturday afternoon due to unstable trees on power lines. The road will remain open to local traffic. Northbound Falls Road will be detoured to Seminary Road to York Road. Southbound Falls Road will be detoured to Padonia Road to I-83 or York Road. new

HIGH-IMPACT - Outer loop of I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) ramp to MD 542 (Loch Raven Boulevard)/Cromwell Bridge Road – Pipe crossing for slope repair/stream restoration – The ramp closure will begin Friday, January 25 at 11 p.m., and end by 5 a.m. Monday, January 28. new

Anne Arundel County

• HIGH IMPACT - MD 175 (Annapolis Road/Jessup Road) at MD 295 (Baltimore-Washington Parkway) – Lane reduction and ramp closure and detour for utility relocation – Beginning today, January 16, one lane in each direction on MD 175 between National Business Parkway and MD 295. Ramps closure and detour of the southbound MD 295 ramp to westbound MD 175. Traffic to use the loop ramp to access westbound MD 175 from MD 295.
 
• Northbound I-895 Bridge over the Patapsco Flats (Between MD 295 and the I-97/MD spur) – Bridge rehabilitation – (MDTA project) 24/7 right lane closure until summer 2019.
 
Baltimore City
 
HIGH-IMPACT - (MDTA Project) - I-895 (Baltimore Harbor Tunnel Throughway) between the tunnels and Boston Street/O’Donnell Street (exit 11) and the Holabird Avenue exit. – Bridge rehabilitation project – Northbound I-895 to close on November 27 and two-way traffic using southbound I-895. Use I-95 (Fort McHenry Tunnel) or I-695 (Francis Scott Key Bridge) as alternate routes. Project to last until 2021.
 
Baltimore County
 
• Outer loop of I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) ramp to Edmonson Avenue – Ramp closure for widening project – Motorists will be guided to I-695/MD 144 (Frederick Road) interchange and back to the inner loop I-695 to Edmonson Avenue Deerco Road to the I-83/Timonium Road interchange. In approximately three weeks, the Edmonson Avenue ramp to the outer loop I-695 will also close. Local detours.
 
• Eastbound Padonia Road ramp to northbound I-83 – Ramp closure for bridge replacement project – Motorists will be guided to Deerco Road to the I-83/Timonium Road interchange.
 
Frederick County
 
• Eastbound US 40 Alternate (Old National Pike) between Fern Lane and Ridge Road – Roadside slope repair – Right truck “climbing” lane and shoulder closed until spring 2019.
 
Montgomery County

HIGH-IMPACT - I-270 (each direction) at MD 28 (West Montgomery Avenue) – Overhead utility cable crossing – Temporary total closure to string cable across roadway beginning at 2 a.m. on Monday, January 28. new

Prince George’s County

• HIGH-IMPACT – Southbound I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) ramp to eastbound MD 214 (Central Avenue) – Bridge replacement project – Total ramp closure with traffic using the Capital Beltway/MD 202 (Largo Road) interchange and then to MD 214 via MD 202.
 
• HIGH-IMPACT – Eastbound Ritchie Marlboro Road (MD 980) at MD 4 (Pennsylvania Avenue) - Slope and drainage repair – Eastbound Ritchie Marlboro Road to be closed and detoured for up to 60 days starting Monday, January 7. Motorists to be directed to MD 717 (Water Street).
 
• US 301 (Crain Highway) between Frank Tippett Road and Trumps Hill Road - Gas pipeline construction and installation (Washington Gas project) – Single right lane closure through spring 2019.

Somerset/Worcester County line

• US 13 (Ocean Highway) northbound over Pocomoke River at the Worcester/Somerset county line – Bridge work – Northbound US 13 bridge over Pocomoke River has been reduced to one 12-foot lane for bridge work through the late-fall.
 
Wicomico County

• MD 349 (Nanticoke Road) Rockawalkin Road – Washout/major road repair – MD 349 is closed and detoured until early 2019.

• MD 28 (Dickerson Road) Bridge over the Monocacy River – Bridge rehabilitation project – Single lane closures guided by flaggers Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Montgomery County
 
• Northbound I-270 at MD 109 (Old Hundred Road) – Paving/line striping – On northbound I-270 - Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
 
• MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) between north of Goldmine Road and south of Holiday Drive - Bypass construction – Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
 
• US 29 (Colesville Road) between I-495 (Capital Beltway) and MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) - WSSC water line replacement project - Single and double lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Sundays through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Single lane closures Saturday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
 
Washington County

• I-81 between the Potomac River Bridge (West Virginia line) and MD 68/MD 63 (Lappans Road) – Highway widening project – Left lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. There may be occasional, brief total closures to move equipment and material into place between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m.

Baltimore County

• Crosby Road Bridge over I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) – Bridge replacement project – Traffic to be switched onto NEW bridge. As a result, Crosby Road will be temporarily closed and detoured on Saturday, Feb.2 until 5 a.m. Monday, Feb.4.
 
• HIGH IMPACT - MD 140 (Reisterstown Road) at Hooks
Lane/Woodholme Center Way (just north of I-695) – BGE power transmission work – On February 11, BGE’s contractor will close the left turn bay on southbound MD 140 to Hooks Lane. Northbound MD 140 at Hooks Lane will be reduced from three lanes to two lanes. This BGE work will last approximately 80 days.

• HIGH-IMPACT - Edmonson Avenue ramp to the outer loop of I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) – SW outer loop I-695 widening project – Ramp to be closed on February 22 until mid-March. Motorists will be detoured locally.

Frederick County
 
• MD 478 (Knoxville Road) Bridge over Branch of the Potomac River – Bridge replacement project – On February 11, MD 478 will close through fall 2019. Local traffic will have access up to the point of the bridge closure. Through motorists will be detoured to MD 17 (Petersville Road/Burkittsville Road) to MD 180 (Jefferson Pike) and back to MD 478. Motorists may also choose US 340 as an alternate route.
