There will be increased traffic delays that may coincide with the beginning of the PM rush hour today due to the funeral for Mr. Andrew Klein, who was killed in Monday’s tragic crash in Bel Air. It is expected that up to and beyond 1,000 people will be in attendance.

The service begins at 1 p.m.

Sol Levinson
8900 Reisterstown Road (Pikesville) just north of I-695
Baltimore, MD 21208

Although the exact time-period of the service is uncertain, it is generally expected to last between 60-90 minutes.
To add to the congestion, there is a long-term BGE electric reliability project that has the SB MD 140 (Reisterstown Road)left turn lane to Hooks Lane closed and detoured. There are also lane reductions as part of this project on NB MD 140 at Hooks Lane. This will result in potentially significant queueing.  For more on this project, click link - https://www.roads.maryland.gov/mdotsha/pages/pressreleasedetails.aspx?newsId=3322&PageId=818.

Following the service, the procession will use inbound MD 140 to the inner loop of I-695 to southbound I-83 (Jones Falls Expressway) to North Avenue to Belair Road at the Baltimore Hebrew Cemetery.

Motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly and expect heavier than usual congestion basically between 12 noon and 4 p.m. on these routes.
