HIGH-IMPACT

Baltimore County

HIGH IMPACT – Cromwell Bridge Road ramp to the outer loop I-695 - Ramp closure for drainage improvement project – Ramp to be closed at 11 p.m. Friday, May 3 until 9 a.m. Sunday, May 5. Motorists will be guided to I-695/Providence Road) interchange and back to the inner loop I-695 to MD 542/Cromwell Bridge Road. new

HIGH-IMPACT – Padonia Road under the I-83 Bridges – Bridge replacement project – Beginning May 5 Padonia Road to be closed occasionally overnights for bridge demolition phase between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday nights through Friday mornings. Motorists will be guided to the I-83/Timonium Road interchange and back to NB I-83 to Padonia Road. These occasional overnight closures are expected to last until late-May.

HIGH IMPACT – Warren Road Bridge over Loch Raven Reservoir (BALTIMORE CITY OWNED BRIDGE) – Emergency bridge repair – Road closed until late-summer. Motorists encouraged to use MD 145 (Paper Mill Road).

HIGH-IMPACT - Southbound I-95 Bridge over the Patapsco River (Baltimore-Howard County line) – Emergency finger joint repairs/deck resurfacing – Single and double lane closures between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday nights through Friday mornings until mid-May. new
 
Frederick County

HIGH-IMPACT – Southbound I-270 at the MD 85 (Buckeystown Pike) interchange – Traffic shift onto new bridge – Single lane closures beginning at 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 7 until 5 a.m. Wednesday, May 8. Use MD 355 (Urbana Pike) as an alternate route. new

Queen Anne’s County

HIGH-IMPACT - MD 213 (Church Hill Road) Bridge over Gravel Run – Bridge replacement project - Weekend closure for temporary bridge installation will begin Friday, May 3 at 8 p.m. and continue through 5 a.m. Monday, May 6. Detour signs will be posted. Commercial vehicle drivers should verify access as there may be turning restrictions in Centreville. MDOT SHA will pour the new concrete bridge deck, then reassemble the temporary “jump bridge.” new

Major Weekend Lane Closures

Anne Arundel County

• MD 100 Bridges over MD 174 (Quarterfield Road), MD 3 (Crain Highway) and Oakwood Road – Bridge deck overlays – Singe lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Crews have started in the easterly direction and will return for the westbound bridges for the patching work. Once patching is complete, crews will close a single lane in each direction on the bridges to perform the paving operations. This will be complete by the end of June.
 
Baltimore County

• Southbound US 29 (Columbia Pike) ramp to eastbound MD 175 and the eastbound MD 175 ramp to northbound US 29 – High-friction pavement application – Ramp closure and detour Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. new
 
Montgomery County

• Northbound MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) at Layhill Road – Concrete repairs – Single and double lane closures Saturday, May 4 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. new
Prince George’s County

• Southbound US 301 (Crain Highway) between Peerless Avenue and the MD State Police truck scales (near Village Drive) – Resurfacing – On Monday, April 22, crews will begin paving in the southbound direction. Once complete, crews will mill and pave the northbound lanes of US 301. Crews will work from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday nights through Friday mornings. Project should be complete early summer.

• Westbound MD 175 (Annapolis Road/Jessup Road) between National Business Parkway and MD 295 (Baltimore-Washington Parkway) – Utility relocation – Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Shifting to night work week of May 6 Sunday nights through Friday mornings from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. new work hours

• Northbound I-895 Bridge over the Patapsco Flats (Between MD 295 and the I-97/MD spur) – Bridge rehabilitation – (MDTA project) 24/7 right lane closure until summer 2019.
 
Baltimore City
 
HIGH-IMPACT - (MDTA Project) - I-895 (Baltimore Harbor Tunnel Throughway) between the tunnels and Boston Street/O’Donnell Street (exit 11) and the Holabird Avenue exit – Bridge rehabilitation project – Northbound I-895 to close on November 27 and two-way traffic using southbound I-895. Use I-95 (Fort McHenry Tunnel) or I-695 (Francis Scott Key Bridge) as alternate routes. Project to last until 2021.
 
HIGH-IMPACT - (MDTA Project) - I-895 (Baltimore Harbor Tunnel Throughway) northbound tunnel – Bridge rehabilitation project – Northbound tunnel to be closed on April 12 until early-summer. Traffic will be put into two-way operation using the southbound tunnel.
 
Baltimore County

Cecil County

• MD 273 (Telegraph Road) Bridge over Big Elk Creek – Bridge replacement project – Temporary traffic signal to alternate traffic in single lane until spring 2020.

Frederick County

• Southbound I-270 ramp to northbound MD 85 – Interchange reconstruction and bridge replacement project – Ramp closure and detour until Memorial Day. Motorists guided to eastbound I-70 to the MD 85 interchange.
 
• MD 77 (Foxville Road) between Pryor Road and Stottlemyer Road – Culvert replacement project – MD 77 closed until May 23 with detours in effect, which include US 15, MD 550, Foxville Deerfield Road and back to MD 77. new
 
• MD 478 (Knoxville Road) Bridge over Branch of the Potomac River – Bridge replacement project – On February 25, MD 478 will close through fall 2019. Local traffic will have access up to the point of the bridge closure. Through motorists will be detoured to MD 17 (Petersville Road/Burkittsville Road) to MD 180 (Jefferson Pike) and back to MD 478. Motorists may also choose US 340 as an alternate route.
 
• Eastbound US 40 Alternate (Old National Pike) between Fern Lane and Ridge Road – Roadside slope repair – Right truck “climbing” lane and shoulder closed until late-spring 2019.
 
Garrett County

• Maple Street (MD 742) Bridge over the Youghiogheny River – Concrete bridge repairs – Six-week bridge closure and detour. Motorists will be detoured using MD 42 (Friendsville Road) to First Avenue and back to Maple Street.

Prince George’s County

HIGH-IMPACT – Southbound I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) ramp to eastbound MD 214 (Central Avenue) – Bridge replacement project – Total ramp closure with traffic using the Capital Beltway/MD 202 (Largo Road) interchange and then to MD 214 via MD 202.

Wicomico County
 
• MD 349 (Nanticoke Road) Rockawalkin Road – Washout/major road repair – MD 349 is closed and expected to open before Memorial Day.

Wicomico County

• US 13 Business (Ocean Highway) Bridge over Wicomico River (Main street to Carroll Street) – Bridge work (utility beam placement) – US 13 Business to be closed and detoured between 9 p.m. Monday, May 6 until 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 7. new

• US 50 (Ocean Gateway) at White Lowe Road– Intersection improvement project – Beginning April 30, motorists can expect single left lane closures in each direction on US 50 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. new

• US 50 (Ocean Gateway) Bridge over Sinepuxent Bay (Harry Kelley Memorial Bridge) – Bridge repair – Single lane closures guided by a flagging operation Mondays through Fridays between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.

HIGH-IMPACT - I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) on the Woodrow Wilson Bridge – Test openings and routine maintenance – Beginning at 11 p.m., May 9 until 12:30 a.m. on May 10, crews will perform routine drawbridge maintenance to the Woodrow Wilson Bridge over the Potomac River.
