The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) to Resurface Several Ramps at the I-495/I-99 (Capital Beltway)/MD 414 (St. Barnabas Road) Interchange Starting Tuesday Night, Oct. 29

Motorists should expect single ad double ramp lane closures beginning at 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. each subsequent morning. Work should be complete early-November.

This work is expected to last through mid-November.  The closures are listed below:

• Southbound I-495/I-95 (Capitol Beltway) to westbound MD 414 (St Barnabas Road);

• Westbound MD 414 (St Barnabas Road) to southbound I-495/I-95 (Capitol Beltway);

• Eastbound MD 414 (St Barnabas Road) to southbound I-495/I-95 (Capitol Beltway); and

• Double lane closure on I-495/I-95 from the MD 210 northbound ramp onto I-495/I-95 to St. Barnabas Road.

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our contractors. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on the road and look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers. Drive like you work here and slowdown in construction zones.
