(November 27, 2023) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will host a public open house Tuesday, December 5, to share information and answer questions about the agency’s study along MD 328 (Matthewstown Road) between US 50 (Ocean Highway) and Black Dog Alley in Easton.

The study will assess transportation needs along MD 328 including traffic operations, safety and pedestrian and bicyclist accommodations. The public open house will be held 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the cafeteria of Easton Middle School, 210 Peachblossom Road in Easton.

The study team began planning for potential improvements along MD 328 in spring 2023. Known as a Planning and Environmental Linkages Study, the review considers environmental, community and economic goals early in the planning stage. Those goals are carried out through project development, design and construction. This study, which is anticipated to be complete in spring 2024, will help the agency identify needs and improvements to move into the preliminary design phase.
