Motorists Can Expect Single-Lane Closures Ahead of the Traffic Switch

(December 15, 2023) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will be shifting traffic as part of the MD 382 (Croom Road) bridge over Charles Branch in Upper Marlboro on December 18. This will necessitate the temporary closure of the northbound lane on MD 382 (Croom Road) at Charles Branch. The new traffic patter will be in place by 5 a.m. on December 18, weather permitting.

Traffic will travel on the newly constructed southbound span of the bridge as the northbound span is demolished and rebuilt.

The State Highway Administration’s contractor, Rustler Construction Inc., of Upper Marlboro, will use signs, cones, and barrels to guide drivers through the work one. The State Highway Administration asks all motorists to stay alert and be patient while driving through all work zones.
