Daytime Flagging Operation Scheduled Until Work is Complete
(July 10, 2025) – The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration will replace an underground deteriorated pipe on MD 648 (Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard) just north of Little Joyce Lane starting Monday, July 14 in Anne Arundel County. One of two lanes will be closed. Crews direct traffic using a daytime flagging operation between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day until all work is complete, weather permitting.
State Highway maintenance crews will use temporary traffic signs, reflective barrels and flagpersons to direct traffic while work is underway.
Customers who have questions about this work may contact the SHA District 5 Office at 410-841-1000 or 1-800-331-5603.
The State Highway Administration works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving, and look for reduced speed limits as well as other traffic pattern changes.
