​Work Performed Overnight to Minimize Impacts; Drivers Reminded to Expect Pedestrians Crossing MD 213 at Washington College 

(October 23, 2025) – Beginning Wednesday night, October 29, the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) will patch one mile of MD 213 (Washington Avenue) from Spring Avenue to MD 291 (Morgnec Road)​ in the Kent County town of Chestertown.

Overnight work hours will be 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Motorists can expect a single lane flagging operation. The work zone passes through the Washington College campus, and motorists are reminded to stay alert for pedestrians. With good weather this work will be completed in two weeks.
