Motorists Can Expect Daytime Single-lane Closures and Flagging Between MD 130 and MD 131 Through Mid-December
(October 28, 2025) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin drainage work along a small section of MD 25 (Falls Road) between MD 130 (Greenspring Valley Road) and MD 131 (Seminary Avenue) in the Brooklandville/Lutherville area of Baltimore County on Monday, November 3. The project, located approximately 0.2 miles north of MD 130, will include the repair of a concrete retaining wall, curb, and gutter; followed by pavement milling and paving. The work will be completed mid-December, weather permitting.
Motorists can expect daytime single-lane closures with flagging operations on MD 25 at any time between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m weekdays. Crews and flaggers will use temporary traffic signs and cones to guide motorists through the work zone. The State Highway Administration advises motorists to plan for extra travel time to and from area private schools, the Green Spring Station retail and medical office complex and Meadowood Regional Park.
The $261,000 project is part of the State Highway Administration’s $6.1 million areawide contract to improve safety and operations along State highways in Baltimore and Harford counties. The contractor is Concrete General, Inc. of Gaithersburg.
