Drivers Can Expect Lane Closures During Work Hours
(March 4, 2026) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will be beginning a series of pavement improvement projects at various locations throughout Prince George’s County in March.
This work includes resurfacing (milling, paving and restriping) and other pavement treatments such as roadway patching. These improvement projects should be completed by early/mid-summer, weather permitting.
Drivers can expect off-peak single-lane closures from any time from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and nighttime operations from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. The exact work hours may be adjusted based on traffic conditions at specific locations and will include flagging operations, as well as single- or double-lane closures, as needed.
